Well… I sort of do. See, landscaping terrain and building a sim in SL is a complicated process, involving a lot of tweaking and moving stuff around. So it’s easy to lose track of things: forget that they’re there or accidentally put them somewhere you didn’t intend. I’m guessing that this is just such an occasion. The chair was probably part of a previous build that they never picked up, or that “vanished” on them due to a grid error or incorrectly typed coordinate.
On the other hand, maybe they thought it was amusing. I know I did.
